ARIESTELO ASILO
Ariestelo “Telo” A. Asilo, co-founder of Varacco Inc. and ThinnkFarm, is a social entrepreneur transforming the lives of Filipino farmers through sustainable innovation. With ThinnkFarm, Telo equips farmers and youth with essential business tools, connects them to markets, and harnesses IoT technology to boost productivity while reducing environmental harm.
Through Varacco Inc., Telo sources beans from over 400 farmers and introduced a patented dip coffee product, combining premium quality with positive social impact. In 2021, Varacco was named one of the United Nations’ 50 Best Small Businesses providing good food for all.
Telo’s influence extends beyond agriculture: his farm-to-market road proposal in Batangas secured $2 million in World Bank funding, aiding 9,000 residents. With backing from global partners like USAID and Save the Children, his work continues to empower communities and elevate Philippine agriculture on the global stage.
Telo’s vision, innovation, and impact make him a true catalyst for inclusive, sustainable development—and a distinguished Ramon V. del Rosario Siklab Award 2024 honoree.
